Rockin’ Trail Run 5K and Fun Run

In partnership with AUSD PTA’s and the Back Country Land Trust

The Rockin’ Trail Run is a collaborative event to raise funds for physical education for the students of Alpine Union School District. Our committee is made up of community members and representatives from the Alpine Education Foundation, Back Country Land Trust, Joan Macqueen Middle School, Boulder Oaks Elementary, Alpine Elementary, Shadow Hills School, and Creekside Early Learning Center.

The event was hosted event at Joan MacQueen Middle School and our local nature preserve, Wright’s Field, in the heart of Alpine. The route took place on the section of the field owned and maintained by the Back Country Land Trust, a private land holder for public use. The terrain is rugged and rocky, and home to many species of plants and wildlife.

The route offers live music, boulders to dodge and steep hills to climb while enjoying the views of the mountains surrounding you. The BCLT promotes and protects the growth of endangered plant species, so you might also notice enclosed project areas for habitat restoration and enhancement.

For questions about the event, please email events@aef4kids.net.
